Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati was born on February 12, 1824, in the small village of Tankara in the Indian state of Rajasthan. He was born into a Hindu family and was named Mool Shankar at birth. He was known for his intellectual abilities and religious devotion from a young age and was initiated into the study of the Vedas at an early age. Maharishi Dayanand's early education was primarily focused on the Hindu scriptures and he quickly became a skilled orator and debater. He was known for his ability to explain complex religious concepts in a simple and straightforward manner, which made him popular among the people. Despite his youth, he was considered one of the most learned scholars in the region and was often called upon to give lectures and debates on Hindu philosophy. However, despite his deep understanding of Hindu scripture, Maharishi Dayanand was not satisfied with the state of Hinduism at the time.
